Modern Family” actor Nolan Gould stopped by the “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” studio to talk about his new horror film “Ghoul,” his IQ, meeting girls, and his weekly allowance.

On How Much of His “Modern Family” Money He Gets A Week:
“Most of it goes into a college fund and I’m saving most of it, but I get $30 a week. Thirty bucks a week that I work. So, during summer I don’t get any money. I have to balance myself, so that I don’t spend it all during the time that I’m working and then not have anything for the summer.”

When asked how his $30 a week compares to co-star Sofia Vergara‘s weekly allowance, Nolan replied: “It’s not as much as Sofia. That’s why when I am going back for the 4th season I’m going to renegotiate with my mom. Since it’s the 4th season I’m hoping [for] $40, that a good number, $30 for 3, $40 for 4.”

On His IQ of 150:
“I took my test when I was really young, I think about 4 or 5 for school purposes. If you get over a certain amount you can become a member of Mensa,” he explains. “Mensa is basically this organization for high IQ society. That’s a vague way of putting it, but it’s an organization where you can go and meet other people who have strange minds like ourselves.”

On Meeting Girls:
Has Nolan ever met girls with “strange minds” though Mensa? “I guess you can, but I don’t think Mensa really helps out a 13-year old who’s looking for girls,” Nolan tells us. “They’re like, ‘What’s Mensa?'”

On His New Movie “Ghoul”:
“This movie is a horror movie, it’s my first horror movie,” Nolan tells us. It’s set around the 1980s and it’s about these 3 kids and they find these tunnels underneath their town and people start to go missing. And there’s and old legend of a ghoul. One of the kids goes missing and it’s up to the other 2 to find him before time runs out.”

“Ghoul” premieres on Friday, April 13th on Chiller at 9pm.
