‘Idol’ Contestants Perform Songs From ‘Then & Now’ [VIDEOS]
The final seven American Idol contestants sang two songs from “Now & Then” which included a #1 hit from 2001 to the present and a soul song from back in the day. A total of 14 performances for the night!
Jessica Sanchez (@JSanchezAI11) performed “Fallin‘” by Alicia Keys at the Top 7 redux performance show. Jessica continues to show off her outstanding voice, further confusing America as to why she almost left Idol last week.
Joshua Ledet (@JLedetAI11) performed “I Believe” by Fantasia at the Top 7 redux performance show. Joshua prves that sometimes little is more, by toning down his performance aspect to show off his soulful voice.
Hollie Cavanagh (@CavanaghAI11) performed “Son Of A Preacher Man” by Dusty Springfield at the Top 7 redux performance show. Hollie stunned in a brought pink dress, although she did not top her first performance of the evening.
Joshua Ledet (@JLedetAI11) performed “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke at the Top 7 redux performance show. Another good song choice for Joshua to top of an overall great performance night for him.
Phillip Phillips (@PPhillipsAI11) performed “In The Midnight Hour” by Wilson Pickett at the Top 7 redux performance show. Phillip wowed the America with his swag, causing Jennifer Lopez to even call him “sexy.”
Skylar Laine (@SLaineAI11) performed “Heard It Through The Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye at the Top 7 redux performance show. Skylar stormed the stage and let the audience have it. She had fun, she has emotion, she created a party.
Colton Colton Dixon (@CDixonAI11) performed “September” by Earth Wind & Fire at the Top 7 redux performance show. This performance defines bringing back a song. Colton took this classic and made it sound like a modern hit.
Tune into Fox tomorrow night at 8 P.M. for the live results show and another Idol hopeful is sent packing home.
