‘Idol’ Contestants Perform Songs From ‘Then & Now’ [VIDEOS]

The final seven American Idol contestants sang two songs from “Now & Then” which included a #1 hit from 2001 to the present and a soul song from back in the day. A total of 14 performances for the night!


Elise Testone  (@ETestoneAI11) performed “No One” by Alicia Keys at the Top 7 redux performance show. The judges want to see her performances become more natural.


Hollie Cavanagh (@CavanaghAI11) performed “Rolling In The Deep” by Adele at the Top 7 redux performance show. Hollie was able to break through and show more raw emotion during her performance.


Jessica Sanchez  (@JSanchezAI11) performed “Fallin‘” by Alicia Keys at the Top 7 redux performance show. Jessica continues to show off her outstanding voice, further confusing America as to why she almost left Idol last week.


Joshua Ledet (@JLedetAI11) performed “I Believe” by Fantasia at the Top 7 redux performance show. Joshua prves that sometimes little is more, by toning down his performance aspect to show off his soulful voice.


Phillip Phillips  (@PPhillipsAI11) performed “U Got It Bad” by Usher at the Top 7 redux performance show. His performance was original flavored with his own personality


Skylar Laine (@SLaineAI11) performed “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga at the Top 7 redux performance show.This song was a perfect fit for Skylar to show off her crossover sound between country and pop.


Colton Dixon  (@CDixonAI11) performed “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga at the Top 7 redux performance show. Colton puts a rock spin on this Gaga smash.


Elise Testone  (@ETestoneAI11) performed “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye at the Top 7 redux performance show. Elise tries be sensual but her vocals fall short for the judges approval.


Hollie Cavanagh (@CavanaghAI11) performed “Son Of A Preacher Man” by Dusty Springfield at the Top 7 redux performance show. Hollie stunned in a brought pink dress, although she did not top her first performance of the evening.


Jessica Sanchez  (@JSanchezAI11) performed “Try A Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding at the Top 7 redux performance show. Jessica takes her song up a notch by bringing out her alter ego “Bebe Chez.”


Joshua Ledet (@JLedetAI11) performed “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke at the Top 7 redux performance show. Another good song choice for Joshua to top of an overall great performance night for him.


Phillip Phillips  (@PPhillipsAI11) performed “In The Midnight Hour” by Wilson Pickett at the Top 7 redux performance show. Phillip wowed the America with his swag, causing Jennifer Lopez to even call him “sexy.”


Skylar Laine  (@SLaineAI11) performed “Heard It Through The Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye at the Top 7 redux performance show. Skylar stormed the stage and let the audience have it. She had fun, she has emotion, she created a party.

Colton Colton Dixon  (@CDixonAI11) performed “September” by Earth Wind & Fire at the Top 7 redux performance show. This performance defines bringing back a song. Colton took this classic and made it sound like a modern hit.
