Barack Obama Gets Sexy, Slow Jams the News with Jimmy Fallon [VIDEO]
Stepping into the role normally played by NBC News anchor Brian Williams, Obama delivered the news with a (nearly) straight face, while Fallon gussied it up with some sexy baritone flavor only to be topped off by The Roots frontman Tariq Trotter.
In a move reminiscent of the days of Run DMC and the Beastie Boys, the President managed to earn some street cred when he dropped the mic at the end of the bit, cueing Fallon to follow suit as if the two just slayed Eminem on 8 Mile Road.
After late night host Jimmy Fallon and President Obama’s hilarious baritone jam, they sat down and got to business (“business” according to Jimmy that is!). The night’s discussion was full of fun topics and an occasional joke, but Barack’s main topic was to stop the rise in student loan interest. The President even stated that he didn’t finish paying off his student loans until only eight years ago! Being that the show was broadcasted from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this seemed to be an appropriate topic.

Fallon brought up embarrassing presidential moments, past pictures, and read tweeted questions for the commander-in-chief. When Jimmy asked if there has been any embarrassing moments while he has been in office, the President replied: “We were having these human rights activists, who were getting the Robert F. Kennedy Award at the White House and I was supposed to speak. So, me and Michelle go into the East Room… I make my speech, I walk down, grab Michelle’s hand and walk her out, and then one of my team’s men says ‘Mr. President, you’re supposed to stay for all the other people speaking.’ So we had to turn around and walk back.”

Barack Obama also discussed how he wants to further grow our green energy industry, and when asked about whether he will ever legalize marijuana —he informed us that the answer is not during his term as president.
