On “The Raven” Being A “NailBiter”
“Yeah! It’s pretty good. People really like it when they see it. That’s really exciting.” His [Edgar Allan Poe] writing was great, and he was the guy that started so many different genres. He started the detective genre with forensics. He was the master of Gothic horror. He wrote all this absurdist stuff, he was doing satire. He was real absolute unqualified American genius. The movie makes Poe become a character in one of his own stories which is another one of his themes. He was always talking about that twilight space between dreaming and life and death, sanity and insanity. Poe actually gets pulled into one of his own stories by a person that is imitating Edgar Allan Poe and they have to search for the killer. The story is ‘Poe-esque.'”

John Cusack Reveals The Hardest Part About Being In ‘The Raven’ [AUDIO]

Is There A Favorite Film So Far
“No. There’s a bunch of them that have a pulse that are nice, and people still remember. So luckily, there’s some from a couple different decades so there’s something from the 80s, 90s, 2000s and hopefully I can keep going here. I’ve got a nice handful of films that people seem to really like, and it’s always nice to talk about them.”
