The 61st annual Miss USA Pageant was filled with gorgeous girls and an all-star judging panel, including Joe Jonas, Rob Kardashian and former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky to name a few. The event was hosted by Giuliana Rancic and Andy Cohen and featured 51 of the most beautiful women in the US.

The night opened with a fashion show where the contestants were split into five different groups as they walked the runway. First was the “Day at the Races” group, who strutted their stuff in large hats and their best derby wear. Next up was “High-End Glamour” group, where the contestants wore gold and silver gowns. Following that was a black and studded “Rockstar Glam” group, a “Champagne Collection” with light sparkly frocks and finally, a “Debutante Collection” with long gloves and elegant gowns. After the girls walked the catwalk, the hosts started the official competition as the 16 finalists were announced.

In the swimsuit competition the finalists showed off their toned bods and cute suits as Cobra Starship performed. After that, the girls were narrowed down to 10 and the “Garden of the Gods” evening gown portion began. After the top five finalists were announced it was time for the questions, which were taken from Twitter. The final 5 answered the questions with grace and as the round commenced, it was time for another performance. The girls joined superstar Akon and Mr. Donald Trump himself as they sang, “Call Me Trump“, their own take on the popular Carly Rae Jepsen song, “Call Me Maybe.”

After the fun was over, the winners were announced and it was 20-year-old student Olivia Culpo aka Miss Rhode Island who was crowned Miss USA 2012, an honor that 2011 Winner Alyssa Campanella said, she should be very proud of. Campanella said, “Not many women can say they’ve made it to the Miss USA stage. I think there’s that saying that you’re more likely to have a son play in the Super Bowl than a daughter compete on the stage at Miss USA!”  To see some highlights from the evening, checkout the gallery below!
