EXCLUSIVE: The Amazing Spider-Man Cast Dishes On Relationships! [VIDEO]

On Convincing Her Parents to Move From Arizona to Los Angeles:
“I did do it in sort of a formal way. I used a lot of computers when I was younger, and my dad’s a business man, so I just thought presentations to try to get that point across because I tend to get over-emotional when I’m passionate about something, so PowerPoint was the most logical.”

How old was the budding artist? “I was 15, I just turned 15. My mom came out with me; we were from Phoenix so we would come back and forth each week. I was coming out just for pilot season; I lived at Park La Brea. Yeah, it was pretty insane.”

On the ‘Trailblazers’ That She Looks Up To:
“Those are my people. Gilda [Radner] was my mom’s favorite, she grew up watching SNL every Saturday night with her family. So Gilda was always her favorite, she was always quoting that Lisa Loopner sketch to me. My dad was a 70s comedy fan, so that was Bill Murray and John Candy and ‘Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,’ and all that.”

On Playing Gwen Stacy in “The Amazing Spider-Man:
Gwen is kind of like the polar opposite of Mary Jane. She’s from the upper east side, her father’s the police chief and is actually on a force to try to get rid of Spider-Man because he views him as a vigilante, so she’s keeping this secret that she is in fact dating the man her father is trying to catch.”
