Author Nicholas Sparks Gushes About Julianne Hough & Josh Duhamel [AUDIO]
Author Nicholas Sparks has written several bestselling novels, seven of which have been turned into hit films including “Message in a Bottle,” “The Notebook,” and “Dear John.” Yesterday production began in North Carolina on his eighth adaptation, “Safe Haven,” starring Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough.
“Safe Haven” tells the story of a young woman [Katie] with a mysterious past who lands in Southport, North Carolina where her bond with a widower [Alex] forces her to confront the dark secret that haunts her. The film is being directed by Lasse Hallström and is scheduled to be released in February 2013.
We asked Nicholas how he felt about these 2 being cast in the film. Here is what he told us: “Josh is not just handsome and charismatic, but decent and kind, exactly the kind of guy I imagined his character of Alex to be. Julianne is talented, beautiful, and unbelievably hardworking, but also has a measure of surprising vulnerability, critical to the role of Katie.”
