After spending more than 7 hours at the Kadashian’s family home, Oprah Winfrey continued her exclusive interview with the reality TV family Sunday night on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” Last week, Oprah helped Kim Kardashian open up about her 72 day marriage as well as her infamous sex tape.
Sunday night, Oprah began with Kim once again where the subject of conversation immediately turned to current boyfriend Kanye West.
If you missed part 2 of the family interview, here are some highlights including Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom talking babies, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick discussing their relationship, and Bruce Jenner reminiscing about his Olympic days.
Kim Kardashian On Her Connection To Kanye West:
Kim told Oprah she has been friends with Kanye for over 6 years and she isn’t sure why it took so long for them to be a couple. “We’ve always had an attraction to each other,” Kim said. “It’s very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you.” Kim strongly denies accusations that their relationship is for publicity. She also denies reports they are moving in together. When asked about Kanye’s bad boy image, Kim said it doesn’t scare her. “I feel like I’m at a really happy, good space.”
Khloe Kardashian’s Relationship With Lamar Odom:
After reports of trouble in the couple’s marriage, Khloe fought back and told Oprah their relationship is a priority and outside influences don’t bother her. “I don’t feel pressure by outsiders. I feel pressure from myself to be a good wife,” Khloe told Oprah. The couple admits they are “always trying” to have babies and hope to have one in the next two years. A surprise confession came from the couple when they admitted to praying every night together. “It keeps us close and connected,” Khloe said.
Kourtney Kardashian On The Changing Relationship With Scott Disick:
In many past seasons, viewers questioned why Kourtney would stay with Scott. “For me, at that time, I couldn’t image [raising Mason] by myself. I wanted to see what he would be like if we had a child,” Kourtney told Oprah. Since the birth of Mason, Scott claims to be a changed man. “The world was much bigger than me,” Scott realized after becoming a father. Today, Scott looks back at his mistakes and is most disappointed in one thing. “I’m disappointed in making Kourtney cry once, twice, or a million times.”
Bruce Jenner On Olympic Glory:
Even though Bruce’s Olympic medal sits in his underwear drawer, the time in his life still brings back great memories. He describes the day he won the gold as, “a bittersweet moment.” After training 6 hours a day for years, he knew once he won gold, his days as an athlete were over. He admitted, however, the moment of winning left him “extraordinary satisfied.” Bruce never placed his sports’ accomplishments around the house because he didn’t want his kids to feel pressure to live up to his accomplishments.
Bruce Jenner On Kim And Khloe’s Wedding:
He may appear to take a back seat to the family drama. When it comes to marriages, however, Bruce has strong opinions. Beginning with Khloe, Bruce admits he had his doubts. “I didn’t know if it was going to work. I didn’t know him,” he told Oprah. “Now, they are perfect for each other. Lamar is the best guy.” In regards to Kim’s fairytale wedding, Bruce admits it was a bit too much. “We went so overboard on that,” Bruce said.
