Rita Ora Does Caribbean Cover of One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ [VIDEO]

While performing live for BBC Radio 1, London native Rita Ora surprised fans by covering a song outside of her demographic. She added an acoustic Caribbean twist to One Direction‘s “Beautiful,” leading it to sound more like Beyoncé than a British boy band.

Rita’s debut album, Ora, is due for release in the United States later this year. The songstress told MTV recently that it should be out in autumn. “It comes out in autumn, and I’m so excited about it,” she said. “It took me two and a half years to finish this album, and I’m just ready for people to hear it.”

“It’s a bit scary actually putting this album out,” said Ora. “I don’t know what’s going to happen. We worked really hard, me and Roc Nation, we are happy to say that we are finally done, and it’s an honest real album, and there’s so many different types of genres on there. It’s a very eclectic album.”

Certainly if she puts a One Direction cover on her album, “eclectic” is a good word to use. Which version of the song do you like better? Make sure to vote for your favorite below.
