Jennifer Garner on Her Kids and ‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’ [AUDIO]
Jennifer Garner called in to “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on Thursday to talk about her new film, “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” a completely original movie from Disney, which is in theaters now. Along the way, Jennifer also spoke about her family, including how she and her girls are getting ready for back to school.
On “The Odd Life of Timothy Green”:
“One thing I love about the film is that it’s an actual original movie. Those just don’t really exist anymore from studios and Disney took a big chance on it. It doesn’t exist anywhere else. It’s not a sequel or a remake or a book or an article, it’s just a film.”
“[Timothy] has leaves growing from his legs. Well, it’s magic. There’s magic involved and maybe a little fertilizer or something. He comes out of the garden and there are leaves and his parents very quickly accept that, but it is definitely kind of the through line of the movie.”
Do You Read These Kind Of Scripts To Your Kids?
“You know, I did tell the story of it to my kids and they were very into it. And while we were shooting, everyday they would visit me on set, and everyday they would say, ‘Does C.J. have his leaves today?’ Because they would see the leaves. ‘How many leaves is C.J. wearing today?’ So they were definitely into that and I think kids seeing the commercials have really keyed into that as well. It’s sweet. The whole movie. It’s kind of designed to get you. It will get you.”
Are You In Back To School Mode?
“We’re geared up for back to school, yes. I’ve already made a Staples run. There was a new pencil box involved. Very exciting.”
