Kristen Bell on a ‘Veronica Mars’ Movie: ‘If I Have My Choice, There Will Be’ [AUDIO]
Former “Veronica Mars” actress Kristen Bell hung out with Ryan during “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on Tuesday to discuss doing a “Veronica Mars” movie and her love of sloths. Her fiance, Dax Shepard, also called in to discuss the new movie “Hit and Run,” which they star in together, that he wrote and directed.
Will There Be A “Veronica Mars” Movie?
Kristen had this to say: “If I have my choice, there will be, and it will be before I am in a nursing home I’m telling you, if I have any control over it. We have tried to package it a few times in a few ways and it keeps getting caught up in the legal department as everything good does, and you know, so we just continue to try to push and let them know that there’s a fan base for it.”
On Kristen’s Birthday Sloth:
“I had witnessed Kristen laying in bed three nights a week watching these videos of sloths, no kidding, taking a nap,” Dax tells us. “She could just stare at them napping for hours and I thought we’ve got to get one to the house. We know animal wranglers from having done the move and what not, so I found the one guy in LA who had a sloth.”
Kristen adds: “But Dax had to go through quite a bit of trouble. Number one, sloths are not cheap. Number two, he had to amend our homeowners insurance policy for the month.”
On Her Love Of Sloths:
“They’re the perfect combination of all of the junk drawer of animals,” Kristen says. “They look a little bit like a monkey, a little bit like a pig. They have the brain of an earthworm and the reflexes of your grandmother. In my eyes, I don’t know why, I think because they’re so vulnerable that’s why I love them, but I’ve always loved animals. Also, they’re meant to cuddle. Like that’s their number one plan on earth is like all they want to do is hug.”

On “Hit and Run” :
“I love car chase movies and there hasn’t been a funny car chase movie in a very long time,” Dax says.”I thought, ‘Hey, I have a bunch of awesome cars and I have a bunch of great friends who like having fun together, why aren’t I putting this movie together?’ I have nicer friends than I could have ever guessed. I mean Bradley Cooper’s in the movie for a real bargain.”
Kristen told us: “From the inception of the idea Dax said, ‘You know, I want to write this movie, do you want to be involved in it?’ And I said, ‘Yes of course, absolutely, I would love to be work you,’ and then he went and wrote it for three weeks, so I was involved before it was written so thank god it was good. This always seems to shock people. We actually love spending time together and that’s why we do it.”
“Hit and Run” opens in theaters August 22nd.
