Mama June Talks About The End of Honey Boo Boo’s Pageant Career [AUDIO]
This one’s for all you beauty queen’s out there.
When TLC‘s “Toddlers and Tiaras” debuted their episode featuring self proclaimed beauty queen Alana Shannon from McIntyre GA, a star was born. And when we met her mother June Shannon, there was no question a spin-off was a necessity. Mama June called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest to talk nicknames, “Go-Go Juice”, and being a mom to one of TLC’s most adored toddlers.
Has the Go-Go Juice Gone Bye-Bye?
The Red Bull and Mountain Dew drink had caused controversy for the mom’s pageant-ing ways. “That was a one time and one time only thing and we don’t do that no more. Yes it did [give her a little kick] but that was actually a one time and one time only thing, we haven’t done it again.”
Could Honey Boo Boo Quit?
“When Alana says I don’t wanna do any more TV, I don’t wanna do any more pageants, we’re done. We go back to our regular life. Sugar Bear still works seven days a week, the kids still go to school and we live our lives normally.” (Hopefully for Honey Boo Boo fans, that won’t happen any time soon!)
Will June’s Beloved Sugar Bear Become Her Betrothed Sugar Bear?
“[Sugar Bear] works in the chalk mines. He’s doin ok, still quiet as he normally is. No [we're not married]. Maybe one day. The “M” word scares me.”
How Crazy Is Life Now?
“Our fan base tells us that when they have a bad day they can be able to watch our show and be able to get a good laugh; I honestly laugh at the show too because it is kind of funny, because we know we have fun filming it. It’s just all about having fun making memories, a lot of people say they can relate to us.”
On Her Style of Parenting:
“I am a parent first and foremost; I’m also they’re best friend and they’re able to come to me about situations, we have fun, do act crazy a little bit, we know when to be serious; but if you’re not having fun with your kids and making memories, that’s what it’s all about in the end.”
Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Mama June, Sugar bear and their children smoochie, chickadee, chubs, pumpkin.
