How Is Diddy Celebrating Labor Day Weekend?
“I’m out in the Hamptons right now, and then I’m on my way to Vegas. I have an event in Vegas on Saturday at the Paris Hotel. So, I’m just going with the flow really. I’m just sipping on a Bellini and having a margarita pizza right now, going against my diet,” he admits. Then adds, “Of course I’m going to go see the movie ‘Lawless’ for the 10th time.”

On Producing Lawless:
“I went to the Cannes Film Festival and I wanted to do something out of the box. I wanted to start my film company Revolt Films and I wanted to do something that wasn’t stereotypical of an African-American rap artist, mogul. This movie was something that I wanted to get involved with on a financing basis with the Weinstein Company. Harvey Weinstein, who I was blessed enough to do a project with…we won an Oscar for Best Documentary. So, we’ve had some success with each other.”

Diddy continues, “Just seeing a performance by Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf, all of the great actors that are in this movie, and being a fan of gangster movies and a fan of family movies. It’s about these Bondurant brothers in Virginia, during the age of Prohibition. I’m a big ‘Boardwalk Empire‘ fan, huge ‘Goodfellas‘ fan, and so it was a movie that I really fell in love with. I was lucky enough to become a part of it. So, I’ve just been helping to get the word out and telling everybody to go see ‘Lawless’ this weekend.”

On His Son Being A Redshirt Freshman:
“My son, Justin he got a scholarship to UCLA and he’s doing this thing…when you’re watching a college game and they say a ‘true freshman’ or a ‘redshirt freshman,’ it’s because the game moves so fast from high school to college, it usually takes them a year. So, your first year is your redshirt year. You get acclimated to what it feels like to walk through the tunnel of the Rose Bowl and go from playing in front of 1,500 people to 100,000 people,” Diddy explains. “He’ll be playing next year, he’s out there having a great time.”

“You’ll definitely see me, I’m definitely a Bruin. I’m loyal to my family and my son’s a Bruin, so I’m a Bruin. So, you will see me at the games. Shout out to the USC fans, it doesn’t mean that you all don’t have to like me…I still got love for USC, but hopefully you will understand.”
