Joey Pollari’s Journey To The Middle: Landing His Role On ‘Inbetweeners’ [AUDIO]

High School Misfits: we’ve known them, we’ve seen them, and most of the time, we’ve been them.

MTV‘s “The Inbetweeners” channels our inner misfit, giving us a show about what it’s like to fall somewhere between the cool kids and the geeks in high school. Joey Pollari plays Will McKenzie, a private school transfer. If that doesn’t have misfit written all over it, we don’t know what does.

This is the biggest role in Joey’s career thus far, so On Air with Ryan Seacrest asked him what he was up to when The Inbetweeners’ producer called him with the news of a life changing job?

“I was sleeping, actually. He called and I very groggily answered the phone and he said, ‘Hey, do you have a moment?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I absolutely do!’ And he let me know about the part and I was not asleep anymore, I was fully awake,” Joey tells us.

We guess nothing gets you out of bed like a leading role on a TV show —not even an energy drink shower. Congratulations, Joey! MTV’s Inbetweeners airs Mondays at 10:30/9:30c.
