Azealia Banks Takes You Back to ‘1991’ [VIDEO]

Female rapper Azealia Banks just released a new music video taking us back to the nineties. The song, titled “1991,”  is a mixture of hip-hop, rap, and a touch of pop. The video has an early 1990’s feel. You can watch Azealia’s new music video below.

Azealia, raised in Harlem, New York, released ‘1991,’ which is also the name of her latest EP. You can buy it here. The EP is filled with four tracks that will bring out the rapper in all of us. This won’t be the last you will see of Azealia as she is gearing up for her debut album, titled “Broke With Expensive Taste” on February 11, 2012.

Many of Azealia’s inspirations for her newest music video included Madonna, Crystal Waters, and Aaliyah.  The rapper even has been recognized by mother monster Lady Gaga where the two exchanged tweets which has led many to believe a future collaboration is in the works.
