Ellen DeGeneres Reaches Season 10 of Her Show— Will The Scaring Continue? [AUDIO]
If you missed an invite to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi‘s wedding, you can thank Mr. Ryan Seacrest. Ellen called into On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk anniversary parties, her new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her upcoming tenth season of her self titled show.
How Did Ellen Get Into The Hilarious ‘Scaring’ Pranks?
“I think I started doing it to people just around the office, and then they said, if you’re going to do it to us you should do it to guests. So I started hiding in their bathroom and they would walk into the dressing room. I do [scare Portia], I do [scare] my brother if we’re out to dinner, I do it everybody. I just think it’s really funny. They decided to start putting cameras up because I was scaring so many people.
She continues, “It’s just a really fun thing to do. How often, in a healthy fun way, do you get that kind of ‘scare’ when you’re a grown up? I think people stop playing when you get to a certain age; you stop laughing as much, you stop playing games. I think that scaring people, in a healthy fun way — you know I’m not going to scare someone when they come home at night and I’m in their house, that’s risking your life — but I just think it’s fun to play.” We’re happy to be scared by Ellen any day!
Was Ellen Expecting A Star On Hollywood’s Walk of Fame?
“I didn’t ever think I’d ever be in this business, let alone get a star. Never in a million years did I think I’d get a star.” Acclamating herself to the customs of having a star, Ellen asked Ryan what he does with his, and if he goes to visit it. So will Ellen visit hers? “There’s so much history [on Hollywood Boulevard], so much going on all the time, and every time I drive down Hollywood Blvd, I think to myself, wow, I should have taken Fountain this is very traffic-ey. Why don’t I remember this every single time!” Maybe she’ll visit her star when traffic’s not so heavy!
Who Can We Look Forward To In Season 10 of Ellen?
“We surprise Pink today with the gymnasts, [Olympic 'Fierce Five'] because Pink was a gymnast for eight years, that’s what she really wanted to do. And [we have] Patrick Dempsey, just amazing people this week.” Her list for this opening week also included Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Phillip Phillips, Dave Matthews Band, and the lovable Sophia Grace and Rosie (who Ryan has nicknamed the ‘TuTu Girls’) doing “Tea Time” with Justin Bieber.
