Flo Rida Confesses He Is A Fan Of His Own Music [AUDIO]
Chances are, every time you put on your apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur, you think of the one and only Flo Rida. On the list of best-selling digital songs from 2003 to the present, Flo has five entries in the top 200, including “Low,” “Right Round,” “Good Feeling,” “Wild Ones,” and “Club Can’t Handle Me.”
Flo called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about his success, if he’ll ever slow down, and keeping in shape!
Who Does He Thank For His Success?
“You gotta blame it on the fans, you gotta blame it on your mom for being a great supporter. I just thank God for my A&R staff, and the people that have been there from day one that really give me their full insight on what they think is hot and what is not. After recording these records, I’m just a fan of my own music for real. People might not know who I am instantaneously but right now, every one is knowing me and it’s just a blessing.”
Will Flo Rida Ever Slow Down?
Flo Rida talks about being in the studio for days on end. “‘Whistle’ was one of the records where I stayed in the studio for days without even changing clothes. I recorded ‘Whistle’ and it’s just crazy how fans are supporting it just as much as other records. Right now it’s just like I can’t be stopped, and I don’t wanna stop. I started my label ‘International Music Group,’ and found a couple of artists. They tell me they’re inspired because they get a chance to work with me, get in the studio, and watch records rise to the occasion and just take over the charts. So I’m very excited.”
What Inspires Flo Rida?
“I really love being in the studio, I’m very passionate about that. I got the chance to perform the new record ‘Cry’… and it was definitely amazing.” Flo adds that his fans motivate him. “Cry” samples Brenda Russell’s 1988 hit “Piano In The Dark.”
Does That Rockin’ Bod Ever Feel Out Of Shape?
“I can’t be out of shape because the work is when I’m performing all the time around the world. When you have records like ‘Right Round’ and ‘Low’ you’re jumping up and down on stage all the time, it’s a cardio workout on stage!”
