“L.A. Reid got really involved and sat down with me and pitched some songs to me.” She continues, “Dr. Luke brought it [Oath] to me. A girl named Becky G had wrote it. I listened to the song, and fell in love with it. I think it’s very relatable. Then I asked Becky G. to be on it with me. So I wanted her to sing one of the verses, and that’s how it came about.”
