October has transformed from a spooky season, into an iconic month surrounded by Breast Cancer Awareness. Sadly, many of us either have a direct or indirect connection to someone who has battled breast cancer.  Many celebrities such as Christina Applegate, Giuliana Rancic, Robin Roberts, Kylie Minogue and Sheryl Crow are dedicated advocates for awareness after battling the nasty fight of breast cancer.

It is so easy in our busy lives to take things for granted, but now I really try to savor each day and every day and live life to the fullest.” Giuliana is now extremely active in seeking early diagnosis for women across the nation.

Celebrities afflicted with breast cancer are not the only ones in the media who support the cause. Former American Idol contestant turned country super star, Kellie Pickler shaved her head earlier this month in honor of a dear friend who began chemotherapy treatment. Even professional football teams have been showing their support by adding pink accents to their average uniforms!
