Nicki Minaj Says She Is Going As Miley Cyrus For Halloween!
Rap diva Nicki Minaj called into “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Wednesday to chat about her E! Special “Nicki Minaj: My Truth,” being on the “American Idol” judging panel, and why she is dressing up as pop star Miley Cyrus for Halloween.
On Her Halloween Costume:
“I think going to probably go as Miley Cyrus. Because she is going as me and I just saw her picture on Twitter. I could do the short blonde buzz-cut like Miley,” Nicki tells us. Check out the pic of Miley in costume below!
On Nicki Minaj: My Truth:
“You’re going to see the no makeup, the crazy sweaty face in the studio, you know, the regular stuff. You’re going to see rehearsals for the tour…behind-the-scenes stuff…me saying how I really feel about the people who interview me,” she says.
Nicki continues,”A great part of what I love about the special is showing the people around me, the people I love, the people I have to be with everyday, and it’s like showing us kind of take on all these new things that have been thrown my way recently. I’ve been finishing up the album, doing the ‘Idol’ stuff, rehearsing for the tour and everything literally had to be done in a span of 3-weeks.”
The special premieres Sunday night November 4th at 10:30pm on E! and Nicki’s new album drops November 19th.
On ‘Idol’ Host Ryan Seacrest:
“I’m very inspired by Ryan,” Nicki says. “Before we signed up to do the show, Ryan said a lot of things that made me kind of want to do ‘Idol.’ I hope to get close to him…I mean you just never know we may be getting married,” Nicki jokes.
On Being An ‘Idol’ Judge:
“I remember that some of the toughest criticism I’ve ever gotten is what stood out in my brain and what made me better. I didn’t want to go on the show and be phony to the contestants. I want them to have a real idea of the business, because this is real life,” she says. “I wanted to be as articulate as possible in explaining how I really felt about them. I really want them to leave with actual advice.” Ryan also told us that Nicki adds her own spin by giving all the contestants clever nicknames based on what they say or what they look like.
How Long Does It Take Nicki To Get ‘Idol’ Ready?
Nicki explains, “The first day of ‘Idol’ I was just panicked and had so much anxiety I couldn’t choose anything. So I think that day it may have taken me 3-hours to get ready, but sometimes it can take me like 2-hours.” All this craziness will also be depicted on the new E! special “Nicki Minaj: My Truth.”
