December 14th was a tragic day in U.S. history as many lives were lost due to a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.
Mike Posner shares his gift of song to honor the victims and families affected in the small town. His tribute, “Heaven” talks about how maybe someday this will make sense even though it’s makes no sense at all today. May they Rest In Peace.
“To the families of the December 14th tragedy:”
@mikeposner I want to thank you on behalf of all Newtown. It’s amazing how much you writing that song has affected all of us. It’s perfect.

He posted tweets and two photos as well, one with “A Tear for the lives lost in Connecticut today” on his computer and one of a note to the families of the victims.
Today makes no sense…God has blessed me with this gift and it felt wrong not to share it. I hope this song finds its way to proper ears — Mike Posner (@MikePosner) December 15, 2012
I wanted to do SOMETHING for the victims’ families. I wrote this song because I didn’t know what else to do. — Mike Posner (@MikePosner) December 15, 2012
Just finished a song for the victim’s families. Going to go to sleep and release it when I wake up.
