The Recycled Orchestra Turns Trash Into Musical Instruments

The South American country Paraguay is becoming a landfill for the world’s trash. Locals in Cateura live atop the trash in slums and collect recyclables to either sell and make a profit or to make into instruments.

Where music instruments cost more than houses, Orchestra Director of  The Recycled Orchestra Favio Chavez said, “The World sends us garbage.
