Safe Haven author and producer Nicholas Sparks initially didnt anticipate more success to come after his first novel The Notebook.

The 17-time bestselling author lightheartedly shared: “After I wrote The Notebook so many years ago the first thing I said to my agent was, ‘Well I hope you’re not expecting another one cause that’s it! I have no more ideas, I used them all up on book number.’ Well, here I am eighteen books later so I guess it’s gone okay.”

Okay, it has!

And we’re glad he kept on going at it, with upcoming novel turned flick Safe Haven hitting theaters on Valentine’s Day February 14.
