The biggest game of the year started off with an emotional performance of “America The Beautiful” by the Sandy Hook Elementary School Choir and Jennifer Hudson. Soon after, Alicia Keys would take to the field with her piano and sing the National Anthem.

Businesses pulled out all the stops for their Super Bowl commercials. From sexy underwear models to partying grandparents, we were more than impressed with several companies. One of our favorites was from GoDaddy. When “sexy meets smart”, you get one heck of a commercial.

During halftime, music fans were treated to a Destiny’s Child reunion including the one and only Beyonce. From “Crazy In Love” to “Bootylicious” to “Single Ladies“, we are still dancing and singing to that set.

The halftime show was so electrifying, the Superdome’s power went out!  Jim Nantz and Phil Simms helped entertain the TV audience for a whopping 34 minutes. Broadcasters said the outage was caused by an outside power feed going dead.

In the end, the Baltimore Ravens pulled out a close victory against the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 34-31. Quarterback Joe Flacco was named the Super Bowl MVP.
