14-Year-Old Signs ‘Facebook Deactivation Contract’ for Cash
Could this be the evolution of allowance?
A father in Massachusetts has signed a contract with his daughter, offering $200 for her to deactivate her Facebook account for 5 months. Paul Baier posted on his blog, Feb 5th, a picture of the contract, with the caption:
“Facebook Deactivation Agreement with my 14 year old daughter (5 months). Her idea which I support fully.”
Dad of 14 year old Rachel, will pay her in 2 installments, one in April of $50, and the other in June of $150.
Paul told the Daily Dot that the arrangement was his daughter’s idea, and that:
“She wants to earn money and also finds Facebook a distraction and a waste of time sometimes. She plans to go back on after the 6 months is over.”
Looks like the days of cleaning your room and washing the dishes for a little spending money are over.
