Michael Bublé Shared Baby News With Reese Witherspoon First
Bublé revealed he initially wanted to do a collaboration with Reese on his new album because he “loved her in Walk the Line” and “her voice was so smooth and wonderful.”
So how did he get Reese on board? Bublé shared: “My manager said ‘Call her.’ And I said, ‘I don’t want to put her in that position.’ Then my wife came home and told me, ‘Mike we’re pregnant.’ And I was so happy, I was like, ‘Today’s the day, I’m going to call her.’ And it felt so good to get it off my chest and she was so cute and excited. So I told her, ‘I’ll take care of you’…and I said, ‘Reese if it’s not good, we will chuck it away’…[But] she was so prepared in one take she nailed it.”
So how did Bublé react to Reese’s skills? He joked: “Instead of saying, ‘You’re awesome!’ I literally turned to the control room and went, ‘I’m a genius.’ I was so happy.”
Along with sharing Reese was one of the first to hear of his baby news, the singer also revealed he’d “like to adopt” next, listen to the full interview below!
