Motown week on “American Idol” proved to be a challenge for some of the best singers in the competition.

Frontrunner Angie Miller struggled with her performance of  “Shop Around” by The Miracles. “It’s the first time ever that I’ve seen you on this show have such a pitchy performance,” Randy Jackson said. Nicki Minaj was even more brutal in her critique. “I think that you came out today to try to show a different side of Angie that didn’t need to be shown,” the rapper proclaimed.
