Late Jenni Rivera Wins Big at Billboard Latin Music Awards

Jenni Rivera‘s legacy lives on.

At the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami on Thursday evening, the late singer won six honors, including Regional Mexican Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. Her parents and two of her children accepted the awards on her behalf.

“You are my diva,” her father, Pedro Rivera, said onstage. “May God bless you, my daughter.”

“We know she continues living in our hearts and through music,” added her mother, Rosa Saavedra.

The ceremony also paid tribute to Jennie, who perished in a plane crash in December, with a reel of her memorable live performances and her reality series, I Love Jenni. Her brother, Juan Rivera, also performed her song, “No Llega el Olvido.”
