Diddy Wasn’t Joking About Being Cast on ‘Downton Abbey’

When Diddy tweeted on Wednesday that he had been cast on Downton Abbey, people probably checked their calendars to see if it was April Fools Day … especially after PBS released a statement denying it.

But it was revealed on Thursday that he wasn’t teasing after all … well, kind of.

Diddy is in fact starring in a Funny or Die parody about his love of the show, which he repeatedly refers to as “Downtown” Abbey.

In the skit, the rap mogul is the new owner of Downton Abbey, Lord Wolcott, and he’s in love with everyone (both men and women).

In other scenes, Diddy throws one of his infamous “white” parties on the lawn,  tries a “fancy” cake … and tries to convince two characters to take a sip of his Ciroc Vodka (wink, wink).
