Amanda Bynes Arrested in New York City: Reports
Amanda Bynes was arrested in New York City on Thursday night, according to multiple reports.
The former What I Like About You star was taken in custody after police witnessed her throwing drug paraphernalia out of her window, reports People magazine.
Amanda, 26, was booked on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana.
According to E! Online, the troubled star was first taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before being transported to a Midtown station for processing.
The news site also reports that NYPD was first summoned because Amanda was smoking marijuana in the lobby of her apartment building.
Amanda has raised eyebrows over the past year after she was arrested for suspicion of DUI in April 2012. Since then, she has been keeping her fans updated on Twitter on all her thoughts … and sometimes with racy photos.
TMZ obtained video of police escorting Amanda (wearing a wig) from her apartment building to an awaiting car:
