‘Arrested Development': 18 of Its Best Running Gags in 8 Minutes

Are you as excited as we are for the return of Arrested Development on Netflix this Sunday?

In preparation of catching up with the dysfunctional Bluth family, let’s take a look back at some of the comedy’s best running gags over its three seasons on the air.

Desiree Hartsock: There’s ‘Double Standard’ in ‘Bachelorette,’ ‘Bachelor’

Some of the most memorable include: G.O.B.’s (Will Arnett) failed “illusions,” his catchphrase “Come On,” Steve Holt, Buster’s (Tony Hale) hook-hand, Tobias’ (David Cross) sexual ambiguity, and the family’s favorite phrase, “I’ve made a huge mistake.”

The 15-episode stream of Arrested Development — which also stars Patrick Bateman, Michael Cera, and Portia de Rossi — begins on Netflix on Sunday, May 26, just one minute after midnight.

And if Netflix (and fans) had their way, there will be a fifth season. Content Chief Ted Sarandos tells The Hollywood Reporter: “We would love to do more, and we have a deal in place that says that there could be. The problem is logistics. They were all working full-time and doing this show in between, and they did it for the love of the show and for [creator] Mitch Hurwitz. If we can muster up that love again, we’d love to do it again.”
