Amanda Bynes Arraigned in Court, Released From Jail
It was a rough night for Amanda Bynes.
The actress was arrested on Thursday in New York City after police witnessed her throwing a bong out of her apartment window.
On Friday morning, the former What I Like About You actress was photographed entering a Manhattan courthouse wearing the same outfit and wig she had been in the night before.
According to reports, Amanda was arraigned and charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, attempted tampering with physical evidence, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Amanda was then released on her own recognizance, despite prosecution’s request to hold her on $1,000 bail. She left the courthouse in a taxi.
Police were first summoned to Amanda’s apartment after her doorman reported that she was smoking marijuana in the lobby. By the time law enforcement arrived, she had gone up to her home, but she let them in. According to reports, that’s when they pointed out the bong … and she threw it out the 36th floor window.
Amanda is due back in court on July 9.
