Jaden Smith Reveals Whether He’s Dating Kylie Jenner or Not
Jaden revealed he gained 20 pounds and grew four inches from taking on the role of Kitai. “I did four months of training before the movie, so I like did running, jumping, parkour, push-ups, sit-ups …everything. I had to do even swimming and it was hard, [but] it wasn’t as hard as Karate Kid, but I had to put on a lot of weight and size because I didn’t look like the character when they wrote it for me. I had to grow to look like a teenager instead of a little boy.”
And although he’s only 14-years-old, Jaden is hardly a little boy! The actor and singer shared now that he’s done filming, he’s focusing on his music more.
“I’m very serious about [my music],” Jaden explained. “I try to shape my craft into music because that’s really all I can do when I’m doing off-time in my movies. I do clothes, as well. [And] I really just try to expand my mind as much as possible. Education is the key to life and being successful.”
Jaden added that when it comes to his music, he often turns to 12-year-old sister Willow.
“I’m working a lot with my sister and a lot of producers that we developed within our circle … I have full creative control because I’m not signed. I work a lot with my sister. She’s my favorite artist. What she does is phenomenal. I don’t think there’s anyone else out there her age that can get close to what she does … her new stuff is really intellectual and extremely intelligent.”
And of course, we had to ask, what’s with all the rumors about Kylie Jenner … Are they dating or are they just friends?
Jaden ended the debate for us … kind of. “I love Kylie and I love Kendall. They’re just really good friends … we all just kind of hang out because we live in the same neighborhood and they’re really cool girls. I love hanging out with them. They’re just friends.”
And with a majority of the magazines and blogs calling them more than friends, Jaden maturely admits he doesn’t let the tabloids get to him.
“I love to make music and skate and when people say stuff like that I don’t feel the need to correct them or say anything about it because they’ll think what they want, so I just let that stuff play out and they do whatever they want with it.”
