Ke$ha Rocks a Fresh Face, Tiny Shorts on Cover of Self Magazine
You’ve never seen Ke$ha like this!
The glitter-loving “Crazy Kids” singer is showing off her toned legs in teeny-tiny black shorts (and rocking a fresh face) on the July cover of Self magazine.
And in the accompanying interview, she opens up about her health and fitness routine … and insists her hard-partying persona is not the only side to her.
“People think I sit around and drink whiskey all day, but I couldn’t keep up on a three-month tour if I were getting hammered every night,” says Ke$ha. “My show is very energetic — I dance and sing at the same time and run around. Training for a tour is like training for a marathon. When I’m eating healthy and working out, it helps me stay sane and exude confidence.”
As for her workout routine, Ke$ha explains that she has to mix things up because “I get bored easily. I bike, I swim and I love yoga. I also love rock climbing, which I’ve done since I was 16. It’s meditative and great for toning your arms and back. I love to run, too. On tour, I usually get offstage around 11 p.m. with the most intense adrenaline rush, so I put my hood on — nobody ever recognizes me — hit the streets and run until I get exhausted.”
And her diet is just as surprising. “Eighty percent of the time I watch my portions and eat veggies and lean protein,” she says. It’s excruciatingly boring, but it makes my body happy. The other 20 percent of the time, I do whatever I want. It’s OK to sometimes eat an [expletive] ton of chocolate!”
Self hits newsstands on June 25.
