Rainbeau Mars Defends Cleanse Request for Wedding Guests

Bride-to-be Rainbeau Mars made headlines last week after it was revealed that she’s asking her guests to do a three-week cleanse before her wedding.

But she insists her request was taken the wrong way and she called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to set the record straight.

“People thought I may have demanded [the cleanse], which is not the truth,” says Rainbeau, who adds that she had a dream about Ryan recently. “Our intentions were purely charitable.”

The health and fitness guide adds that she’s been doing the plant-based cleanse for five years at this time of the year, and this year it just so happened to take place before her wedding.

In fact, Rainbeau says that she views the cleanse as a “gift” to her friends and family.

And after hearing the ingredients in her cleanses and vegan cuisine, we can totally understand what she means because they sound as delicious as they are healthy.

What makes Rainbeau’s creamy kale salad so creamy? “I will just smash an avocado in it,” she explains. “The thing that makes kale difficult to digest and not fun is you need to massage it with lemon, olive oil, and Celtic salt.”

Creamy Avocado Kale Salad
Salad Ingredients:
1 bunch kale
½ lemon
1 tomato (diced)
½ cucumber (diced)
1-2 avocados (ripe)
1 handful mushrooms, shitake or maitake (optional)
½ cup eggplant (diced, optional)
2 tablespoons coconut oil (extra virgin, cold-pressed)
2 tablespoons mama shoyu, tamari, or Bragg Liquid Aminos
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Pinch of parsley or cilantro
Choice of vegan salad dressing or Creamy Dreamy Dressing recipe below

Creamy Dreamy Dressing Ingredients:
1 cup macadamia nuts, cashews, or almonds (soaked overnight)
1-2 cups pure water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
1 clove garlic (optional)
* Blend together until smooth

Directions:
1. With clean hands, massage shredded kale with oil, salt, and lemon juice.
2. Marinate mushrooms and/or eggplant with oil and tamari before adding to mixture.
3. Toss salad with remaining ingredients and drizzle with your dressing of choice.

Live Chocolate Shake
Ingredients:
2-3 cups raw almond or coconut milk (or pure water)
½ banana (optional)
1 handful strawberries (optional)
1 ripe avocado
1 tablespoon honey
2-3 tablespoons cacao powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or powdered Madagascar vanilla)
Pinch of Celtic sea salt

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and blend until creamy smooth.
2. Optional: Add 1 teaspoon of Sunwarrior Ormus Supergreens to encourage optimal
assimilation.
