Which Designer Label Will Make Bruno Mars Look Fresh on Tour?
Not even a tax evasion conviction can slow down Dolce & Gabanna.
The upscale Italian label has confirmed that they will be in charge of dressing Bruno Mars in the slickest and most elegant suits for his Moonshine Jungle world tour. Details have emerged that the singer will be touring in custom-made black tuxedos and white button downs, while changing into a red tuxedo halfway through the show.
The designers explained, “Bruno’s style and music are so eclectic that oftentimes we have taken inspiration directly from his work to create looks that were at the same time in line with his very personal taste, as well as with the DNA of Dolce & Gabbana,” in an official press release.
D&G have been outfitting musical artists on tour for years now. The brand has dressed Madonna for two world tours in 1993 and 2000 and has also created costumes for Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot, and Beyonce.
As of Wednesday, the high-profile designers have been in hot water after Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were found guilty of avoiding taxes in 2004 and sentenced to 20 months in prison. The sentence was suspended, but the fashion duo has been ordered to dish out 343.4 million euros plus interest for their crime.
The Moonshine Jungle tour kicks off this Saturday, June 22, in Washington DC, and wraps up in Auckland next March.
