‘The Wanted Life’ Recap: The Band Performs for the Obamas

June 23, 2013 10:32 pm

For a U.K. boy band like The Wanted, it doesn’t get much bigger than breaking into the U.S. market … or better yet, performing for the president.

But that was the case on Sunday’s The Wanted Life when the guys headed to The White House. Immediately after their manager Scooter Braun told them the news, the guys went wild cheering and jumping on the table.

“Let’s Google lots of president stuff, so we don’t sound ignorant when we get there,” says Jay.

Before the head to Washington, D.C., Max wants to try his hand at acting,a longtime passion of his he hopes to get back into while in Hollywood. After a talk with Scooter, the manager says he’d help him get some auditions.

But he also has other plans for Jay, too. Scooter thinks his voice is not as strong as it should be and has Nano tell him he must take lessons, which really upsets Jay. He adds that he feels “singled out” and since he was told in front of his bandmates, “It was done in such an embarrassing way.”

Still, he goes to the vocal coach with Tom and the two admit they really learned a lot about to improve their singing, especially with The White House coming up soon.

Once in D.C., the Wanted are excited to perform in front of the First Family. But afterwards, they’re even more stoked to meet Michelle Obama … and Bo the dog!
