It was more about the show-stopping performances than the actual awards last night at the 2013 BET Awards.

5. Apparently, Kendrick Lamar and Erykah Badu vibe well together, as the two pair off to sing Kendrick’s “B***h, Don’t Kill My Vibe.”

4. Ciara and Nicki Minaj showed what it means to be strong, independent women with a whole lot of sex appeal in their super sensual performance.

3. Mariah Carey dazzled and awed in her remix of “Beautiful” with Miguel and Young Jeezy.

2. Robin Thicke, Pharrell, and T.I. got everyone dancing to their summer hit, “Blurred Lines,” a clear favorite among the audience members.

1. The performance of the night goes to Charlie Wilson, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Snoop Lion, as the artists paid tribute to Charlie, who earned the lifetime achievement award.
