Cody Simpson Performs Acoustic Set, Dishes on Love Life: Videos

We were lucky enough to have the oh-so-dreamy Cody Simpson in our studio to serenade us with songs from his upcoming album and dish on his personal life.

The first track the 16-year-old Australian singer treated us to was his new single, “Pretty Brown Eyes” (above), followed by another cut from Surfers Paradise (which will be released on July 16 on Atlantic Records), “Awake All Night.”

While we had Cody in our studio, we were also fortunate enough to snag his opening act on The Paradise TourRyan Beatty, and the two perfected a cover of John Mayer‘s “Stop This Train,” from his Continuum album.

With Cody on guitar, the two really brought a lot of life to the song as each took a verse and harmonized on the chorus.

Cody also opened up to KIIS-FM radio personality Karli Henriquez about everything from his new album to his love life and impressive Instagram photos.

As for his The Paradise Tour, the Aussie tells us it’s been sweet because “I finally have all this production, and video, and stuff like that, which is dope. For a long time I’ve had the vision and now it’s a reality.”

And since he’s been criss-crossing the globe, he’s picked up a few different languages during his travels … and he gave us a little sample of his French! We won’t tell you what he said (you have to watch), but let’s just say it’s a perfect pickup line.
