Ryan Seacrest Surprises Grammy Campers: See Their Reactions
Now these are some happy campers!
Ryan Seacrest surprised all the gifted young people enrolled at the Grammy Camp at the University of Southern California on July 19.
Ryan, who is Honorary Chair of the Grammy Foundation Board, entered the college’s School of Cinema to a roar of gasps and cheers from the high school-age kids, who were expecting a guest speaker, but had no idea it would be the American Idol host.
He took a seat and watched three performances from the talented students and then opened up the floor for questions. During the Q&A session, they asked him about his start in entertainment, his work ethic, and what drives him.
Afterwards, everyone headed outside to the Coca-Cola Happiness Truck for lots of fun prizes … and, of course, photos with Ryan.
Grammy Camp offers students the opportunity to hone their skills in the technical aspects of creating, performing and recording and emphasizes new and emerging music technologies, and also provides education for six music career tracks: Engineering for Audio & Video; Electronic Music Production; Multimedia; Music Business; Songwriting; and a performance track for bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, vocal, and winds & strings.
