Taylor Swift Takes on ‘You’re So Vain’ With Her Idol Carly Simon

Known for singing about her past love affairs, Taylor Swift is not afraid to say, “I bet you think this song is about you.”

In a recent concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Taylor surprised her fans by bringing out pop legend Carly Simon for a rendition of her 1972 classic, “You’re So Vain.” The crowd seemed to appreciation the guest appearance, but it is hard to know if most of Taylor’s young fans actually knew the song.

Towards the end of the video, the 23-year-old pop star asked Carly the age-old question: Who is the song about? The singer reminded Taylor that she already told her and she can’t say who it is. Ever since the song’s release, rumors circulated that it was directed towards Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, but those rumors have been rejected by Carly.

Taylor has already written songs about John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles and many more. Who do you think she dedicate “You’re So Vain” to?
