Selena Gomez Scores First No. 1 Album Ever With ‘Stars Dance’

The 21-year-old singer has scored her first-ever No. 1 album on Billboard’s 200 with her latest release, Stars Dance, which sold 97,000 copies (a career high), according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In fact, Selena bumped none other than Jay-Z out of the top spot, sending his Magna Carta Holy Grail to No. 2 after two weeks at No. 1.

Her latest accolade makes her the youngest solo female artist to hit No. 1 since October 2010 when her BFF Taylor Swift nabbed the honor with her third album, Speak Now.
