Liam Hemsworth Talks ‘Paranoia’ and ‘The Hunger Games’ Sequel

Liam Hemsworth is taking on the role of a tech-savvy student named Adam Cassidy in upcoming thriller Paranoia.

The Australian actor called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to chat about his latest role, as well as the highly-anticipated The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Liam explains the movie as “a fast-paced thriller about a young guy who gets caught up in the world of corporate espionage and pushed down a road he normally wouldn’t go down … The heads of the two corporations are Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford and my character Adam finds himself caught between the two and tries to decipher how to get himself out of it.”

Hemsworth adds the movie offers viewers “insight into the world of where we are at with technology right now and how much society doesn’t really know about it…and how easy things are to hack in to.”

And in addition to playing a tech-savvy guy, Liam is also reprising his role as Gale in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. And while we had him on the phone, we had to ask, will we finally see Gale and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) together when the flick hits theaters in November?

Liam didn’t divulge much, but he did admit: “It’s developing more, but it’s also still very confusing. Gale is trying to work out what’s going on and [Katniss is] trying to stay alive still. You get to see a bit more of the fight inside Gale come out.”

“[Author] Suzanne Collins said to me once on-set…’You know after the first movie I really wanted to have more of Gale in the movies. I love the character and love what you’ve done with him’,” Liam adds.

We agree! Until then, catch Paranoia in theaters August 16.
