Miley CyrusWe Can’t Stop” is a pretty contemporary song about partying, but one group is giving it a throwback feel.

Postmodern Jukebox (with the help of Brooklyn-based doo-wop ensemble The Tee-Tones) has covered the hot summer track to make it sound like it’s from the 1950s.

“After Miley Cyrus’ controversial performance at the VMAs, I felt it was only natural to offer a classier, twerk-free alternative to her hit, ‘We Can’t Stop,'” writes pianist Scott Bradlee writes on the band’s website.

If you like this version of “We Can’t Stop,” it’s available for download on iTunes here.
