Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June Talks Commitment Ceremony
Our favorite redneck couple are saying “I do” to each other in a commitment ceremony on tonight’s one-hour season finale of their hit TLC show. Mama June explains to On Air with Ryan Seacrest she opted for a commitment ceremony versus a traditional wedding, which means it’s not legally-binding, but everything else applies.
“It’s pretty much the same,” says the mom-of-four. “There’s no difference between the two.” She adds that when it came to her ceremony, she unsurprisingly “did not go traditional by no means.”
And by not traditional she means donning a camo-print wedding dress, complete with a bright orange sash. “I would say it fits our lifestyle,” June says of the big day, “like who we are as a family, so the girls will design the whole ceremony.”
As for a honeymoon and what happened after she took the plunge, June admits: “Sugar Bear’s not really that romantic. We pretty much spent our time after the ceremony with the girls.”
And speaking of her girls, June admits Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was upset she couldn’t be in Los Angeles for their show’s press tour. “Alana is kind of upset that she can’t come, but school comes first,” June says. “So I told her eventually we can do press where she’ll be able to come. But other than that, Jessica is playing softball and Pumpkin is just being Pumpkin!”
To catch the ceremony, tune in to the season finale on TLC tonight at 9/8c.
