Kings of Leon Cover Robyn’s ‘Dancing on My Own’: Video
Some covers make sense … and others are just odd enough to work.
Take for example Kings of Leon‘s take on Robyn‘s 2010 single, “Dancing on My Own,” which the Swedish singer has described as her “love of inherently sad, gay disco anthems.”
The Nashville-based rock band performed the song during an appearance on the BBC’s Radio 1 program on Tuesday, and they were pretty impressive.
And that’s what their bassist, Jared Followill, also thought, based on his tweet after their performance.
Did anybody hear us on @BBCR1 today? We did a Robyn cover. We played a full set later on with 5 songs off Mechanical Bull. We like to party.
