iHeartRadio Music Festival: 5 Reasons Why We ‘Heart’ Muse
There are only three days left until the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival!
One performer guaranteed to bring the “Madness” to Sin City is Muse! Since 1994, Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard have revolutionized the rock genre, so here are 5 reasons why we “heart” Muse:
1. They Inspired Stephenie Meyer to Write the Twilight Saga
That’s right … you owe it all to the “Supermassive Black Hole” crooners for the sparkly, blood-sucking vampire books and movies! The Twilight novelist cited the English rock band as one her inspirations as she writes in the final installment, Breaking Dawn, “And thanks also to my favourite band, the very aptly named Muse, for providing a saga’s worth of inspiration.”
2. Their Single “Madness” is Complete Madness
Muse’s single “Madness” was hands down the 2012 song of summer! In fact, the space-rock track rewrote history for Billboard‘s longest-reigning alternative rock song by dominating the chart 19 weeks straight, beating Foo Fighters‘ “The Pretenders.”
3. The Band Is Charitable
The “Uprising” rockers sued Nestle for using their song “Feeling Good” in a commercial without their permission. Muse sued the food company for £500,000 — which is about $800,000 — and donated 100% of their wins to charity.
4. They Sound Amazing Live
With Muse, you get what you pay for. The trio sounds great in concert, and some may even say their live performances sound EXACTLY like the studio versions. Check out their live performance of “Uprising” … and believe us, they’re not lip-syncing! They’re just as mesmerizing in person as they are on your iPod, so they are definitely a band worth seeing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
5. They Know How to Put on a Show
Not only can the “Follow Me” band bring the house down with their spellbinding sound, they really know how to make their set a memorable experience! The boys up the ante with their production skills to bring the stage to life with intergalactic visuals to supplement their stellar music. Check out their live performance at the 2012 iTunes Festival!
