iHeartRadio Music Festival: 5 Reasons Why We ‘Heart’ Adam Lambert

The iHeart Radio Music Festival kicks off today!

Today we celebrate Adam Lambert, who will perform at the two-day festival alongside Justin Timberlake, Ke$ha, Chris Brown, and many more.

Adam’s been on our radar since we first saw him audition on American Idol four years ago and we haven’t gotten enough of him since! Here are 5 reasons why we “heart” Adam Lambert.

1. He Won Our Hearts on ‘American Idol’

Who could forget Adam’s performance of “Mad World” on Idol that blew everyone away? He even had Simon Cowell on his feet applauding!

2. He Rocks Out With Queen

After performing with iconic rock band Queen as their lead singer in concert across Europe, Adam is set to hit the stage with the legendary group for the first time in the U.S. at none other than this year’s iHeart Radio Music Festival!

3. His Solo Music Is (Really) Good

Lambert’s second studio album Trespassing dropped in May of 2012 and we’re patiently waiting on the follow up! Adam’s pop/rock/dance sound is infectious and we can’t wait for more new music from the 31-year-old singer.

4. He’s a Role Model

Lambert’s second album Trespassing debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart making him the first openly gay male to achieve such a feat. He came out following his runner-up finish on Idol in 2009 and has been a key advocate for equal rights and a role model to gay youth ever since.

5. His Collaborations Are Just as Good as His Solo Music

Avicii enlists Adam and iconic guitarist Nile Rodgers on “Lay Me Down” off his just released debut studio album True. A funky half-EDM, half-soul track, this one is sure to hold over all the Glamberts until Adam puts out new solo material!
