Tonight’s Glee episode will be honoring Cory Monteith.

The tribute episode, titled “The Quarterback”, was understandably one of the toughest episodes for the cast and crew to film.

Creator Ryan Murphy revealed they had to repeatedly halt shooting when crew members and cast would leave the room sobbing. Adding, it was especially hard for Cory’s ex Lea Michele.

Murphy tells E!: ”I’ve never seen a crew that you can’t continue shooting because they’ve left the room sobbing. It was very hard…It was rough. It was very rough. It was very rough with Lea Michele…but I’m very proud of it. I think the performances are quite stunning. People still are not over it. It’s still very, very difficult.”

The episode is set to feature songs that remember and celebrate the late actor, who passed away from a drug overdose back in July.

Catch Glee‘s “Farewell to Finn” tonight at 9/8c on Fox.
