The Jonas Brothers Announce ‘Unanimous’ Split
After weeks of rumblings, The Jonas Brothers are officially over.
On Tuesday morning, Kevin, Joe, and Nick revealed to People magazine that they have called it quits as a musical trio.
“It’s over for now,” Kevin explained, while Nick added, “It’s really hard to say ‘forever.’ We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
Middle brother Joe also gave the magazine a quote, saying, “It was a unanimous decision.”
Nick also reveals that it was during an October 3 meeting with his brothers that he expressed that he had serious concerns about the future of their band. “I was feeling kind of trapped,” he also tells People. “I needed to share my heart with my brothers.”
Trouble has been brewing ever since the Jonas Brothers canceled their tour just two days before its October 11. At the time, their publicist explained that “There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big disagreement over their music direction.”
